We’ve all heard about those made-to-order meals from Central Market; as convenient as they sound, this is exactly the kind of thing I’ve learned to dismiss, as there are rarely meatless offerings. I’m happy to report that this year’s Holiday Hotline (in Fort Worth, 817-989-4780) includes a holiday meal made especially for vegetarians (about $40 for two), available for order now through New Year’s Day. The main course is a Hazelnut Fig Roast en Croute, which is described as a grain meat roast (made from scratch for Central Market, using wheat gluten), stuffed with wild rice, hazelnut, and quinoa stuffing. Dried figs add sweetness, and the whole thing is wrapped up in vegan pastry. The meal also includes Whipped Sweet Potatoes, Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Fresh Cranberry Orange Sauce, and Brioche Rolls.
