Fireside pies

Yes, Fireside Pies is a chain, but it's also a place where chefs eat, and who can blame them? Slick west 7th location, dimly lit loungey ambiance and a menu full of things like this fancy house salad, with thinly sliced red and gold beets, manchego cheese, marcona almonds and mustard vinaigrette (though I'll ask them to go a little easier on that next time). The ricotta on the garlic & sage white pie is made in-house. What's not to love? 20120527-111027.jpg
